Poor Kayla had abdominal surgery today supposedly to remove bladder stones that were evidently too big to pass but somehow she managed to pass between March and now. So she/we went through this for nothing and I am not happy, tho no one is to blame. They showed up on an ultrasound done in March, but not there today when our vet opened up her bladder to remove them.
I'm not thrilled about the money spent, obviously, but more distressed at putting Kayla through this unnecessarily. But again, it's really no one's fault -- just some freakish thing. But now she's doped up and stressed out. Hopefully she'll get some good sleep tonight and have minimal pain.
